Émile Antonio (born 22 April 1928 in Auzat-la-Combelle (Puy-de-Dôme) is a retired French footballer.
Biography
Making his debut at his local club, La Combelle CCA,[2] Antonio played as a professional at Sète, Nice and Lyon.
He spent one season at OGC Nice with whom he won the Coupe de France in 1954, against Olympique de Marseille, 2-1.
He stayed at Olympique lyonnais for 7 seasons : he played 183 matches (of which 160 were league games) and scored 23 goals. He is still a well renowned player at Gerland .
In 1961, he finished his professional career. He played for two seasons at AS Montferrand, before returning to his first club, La Combelle CCA. He coached this club between 1963 and 1975.
