The 2012 Armor All Gold Coast 600 was a motor race for the Australian sedan-based V8 Supercars racing cars. It was the eleventh event of the 2012 International V8 Supercars Championship. It was held on the weekend of 19–21 October at the Surfers Paradise Street Circuit on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
The event was marred by two start line incidents during the Saturday race which caused the race to be shortened due to time-constraints. The first crash saw American driver Ricky Taylor launch off another car and roll along the pit wall, with the car coming to rest on its roof.[1] Six of the cars did not make the grid of the restarted race due to damage from the first two attempted starts. Jamie Whincup and Frenchman Sébastien Bourdais took victory in the first race while Will Davison and Finnish driver Mika Salo won the second.[2]
