49 Ceti 'is a main sequence A1V star of magnitude 5.62 located in Cetus. It is 194 light years from the solar system.
49 Ceti was identified as “Vega-like” debris-disk hosting A star based on infrared emission detected by the IRAS satellite.[1]
49 Ceti has been identified as a member of the 40-Myr old Argus Association .[2]
