ALL Ladies League
ALL Ladies League (ALL), a non-profit organization, is one of the apex international Women's Chamber operating from India. The organization represents women leadership and acts as an active agent for social change by boosting education and women empowerment in and around India. Established in 2011, ALL is founded by Dr. Harbeen Arora who is also Global Chairperson of the organization. ALL’s signature “ALL Women of the Decade Awards” and “Grassroots Women of the Decade Achievers Awards” is to felicitate ace women leaders and their work around world
WEF 2015
The Women Economic Forum (WEF), an initiative of ALL, was held in May 2015 in Goa. More than 400 delegates and women leaders from more than 25 countries attended. Its theme was "Women: The Harbingers of Change", and several issues were discussed starting from women leadership and empowerment, consumerism, changing global market, industrialization, status of women in the global and Indian society, politics, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, yoga and health et al. that affect the world of a women.
Attendees included Vidya Balan, Indian actress; Madhur Bhandarkar, Indian film maker; Kiran Bedi, Ex-IPS Officer and Indian politician; Prakash Javadekar - Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change; Devendra Fadnavis - Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Sachin Pilot, Former MoS and Indian Politician; Sara Pilot, wife of Sachin Pilot and Founder, CEQUIN; Meghna Ghai Puri, daughter of Subhash Ghai and President - Whistling Woods International; Ashoke Pandit, Indian Film Maker; Poonam Dhillon, Indian actress and politician, and Pinky Anand, senior advocate and Additional Solicitor General of India.
WEF also honored five Goan women achievers who excelled in different spheres of their life, namely, Ms. Odette Mascarenhas -- preserver of traditional Goan culinary; Ms. Cecille Lee Rodrigues, an ace Zumba dancer; Ms. Ethel Da Costa, a prominent media professional and writer; Ms. Sonia Shirsat, renowned Fado singer; Ms. Archana Bhobe, an eminent fashion designer; in the presence of Madhur Bhandarkar and other eminent guests.
WEF 2016
Women Economic Forum 2016, on the theme, Women: Uplifting and Uniting the World was held from May 16 to 21 at the Pullman hotel in Aerocity, New Delhi, India.
WEF 16 had a presence of over 1500 inspired women and supportive men who joined from over 110 countries. It was a fascinating coming together of women from diverse backgrounds to learn, enquire, network, and create partnership across biases and borders; promoting ones business interests and creating lasting bonds. The theme of “Women: Uplifting & Uniting The World” was covered through 28 verticals across 408 sessions. The aim was to provide a one-stop resource for women to learn about new areas of enterprise and leadership, to meet with investors and fellow entrepreneurs, as also listen to the personal journeys of women of eminence and excellence in a variety of fields to foster inspiration and be modern role models.
The Guest of Honor was the Hon'ble Princess of Kuwait who also headed the delegation of Council of Arab Businesswomen with many Forbes-listed powerhouse entrepreneurs present. Hon'ble Union Minister of the Government of India, Shri Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated WEF 16 and the valedictory address was given by Hon'ble Union Minister Smt. Smriti Irani.
The six-day conference saw an enriched confluence of international businesswomen, global entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, ambassadors, diplomats, NGO heads, artists, celebrities, and of course extraordinary women of grit and courage who are pushing the boundaries of performance and leadership every day.
