Aaron Lee Northcraft (born May 28, 1990) is a professional baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent.
The Atlanta Braves selected Northcraft out of Mater Dei High School in the 2009 MLB Draft.[1] Pitching for the Lynchburg Hillcats of the Class A-Advanced Carolina League in 2012, Northcraft threw a no-hitter.[2] He was added to the team's 40-man roster on November 20, 2012.[3] In 2014, he played for the Gwinnett Braves of the Class AAA International League.[1]
On December 19, 2014, the Braves traded Northcraft and Justin Upton to the San Diego Padres in exchange for Max Fried, Jace Peterson, Dustin Peterson, and Mallex Smith.[4] The Padres designated Northcraft for assignment in February 2015 when they signed James Shields.[5]
