Abdul-Hamid Musa Kasha is the first governor of East Darfur.[1] He has been the governor of the state since January 5, 2013, when East Darfur split from Southern Darfur. He is also the head of the Wise Men Commission of Darfur for Unity and Reconciliation.
History
Before East Darfur was a state, Adbul-Hamid Musa Kasha was the governor of Southern Darfur (office April 2010). He won against Al-Haj Adam Youssef, the former vice president in the democracy.
