Actinomycetoma
Actinomycetoma is a term for a chronic subcutaneous infection caused by fungi or Actinomyces that affect the skin and connective tissue.[1] Once pathological analysis and/or culturing is performed and the causal organism is identified, it is more appropriate to use the following terms:
- Actinomycosis for the bacterial form
- Eumycetoma for the fungal form
