Adam Cianciarulo, (born October 20, 1996) is an American professional motocross racer competing in supercross, currently riding the #44. He is currently racing in the 250cc class for Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki, aboard a Kawasaki KX250F. Since starting his professional career, Adam has seen nothing but bad luck due to several injuries. He is yet to race a full season of motocross and supercross. Adam started riding bikes when he was 7 years old and racing when he was 11.
Amateur career
In 2012, Adam became the highest winning mini bike rider in AMA Amateur Motocross National Championships. He won 11 championships.
Professional career
In 2013, Adam began his first pro season on Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki, whom he signed a long-term contract with while he was an amateur. After being sick at the first four rounds of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series, he began his pro career by finishing inside the top 10 five times, including a podium in the first moto at Utah.
In 2014 Adam began his first full supercross season, winning 3 out of his 5 first races. Unfortunately, Adam didn't get to finish the season due to a shoulder injury he received in Toronto, Canada after crashing in the whoops section. He would also miss the entire Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season.
In 2015, Adam did not race any races in the Monster Energy Supercross series because of another shoulder injury that he received while racing at the Geneva Supercross in Switzerland. Adam raced only 6 of the 12 races in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series due to another shoulder injury that he received while practicing at Red Bud. Adam was having a somewhat successful year, and getting on the podium once before his injury.
In 2016, it looked like it was going to be a fresh start for Adam. . He parted way with his long time trainer, Aldon Baker, and has started a new program.[2] Early February, Monster Energy/ Pro Circuit/ Kawasaki reported that Adam had broken his wrist while practicing. Payton, the team manager, said that Adam would likely miss most of the Monster Energy Supercross series.[3] 2016 is also Adam's contract with the Monster Energy/ Pro Circuit/ Kawasaki team, so his season in Lucas Oil Pro Motocross will need to be impressive, or Adam might find himself without a ride.
