Adda Fras

Adda Fras (1240? - 1320?) was a poet and writer of prophecies. References to him are made in a number of texts, but it is possible little of his own work survives. In 'Dafydd ap Gwilym a'i gyfoeswyr 156' he is associated by Gruffudd Gryg (c. 1340 - 1412) with Casnodyn (c. 1290 - 1340). He is known to be buried in Maenan Abbey, near Conway (founded in 1186) (Gwaith Tudur Aled, i, 83).
