The Adobe PDF Library is an API for viewing, printing and manipulating PDF files. It is the core technology within the Adobe Acrobat product family and aims to provide developers with complete PDF reader functionality as well as PDF content extraction. The PDF Library was written in C but also has interfaces for Java (via JNI) and .NET development.[1] The full version of APDFL is distributed under a commercial license.
