Ahmad Hassan Polytechnic Institute
Ahmad Hassan Polytechnic Institute, founded in 1980, is located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It was established after the name of Syed Ahmad Hassan Naqvi who founded the first Muslim technical institution in South Asia in 1918, the School For Electricians.
Majid Naqvi established the Ahmad Hassan Polytechnic "for the purpose of instructing persons, who may choose to apply themselves, in the application of science to the common purposes of life."
The institute is affiliated with the University of Sargoda under the Ahmad Hassan Foundation by the name of Lahore College For Information Technology (LCIT) for Bachelor of Architecture, Fine Arts, MA English and Economics. The institute was already affiliated with Al-Khair university for B-Tech of Civil, Electrical and Electronics.
The principal of LCIT is Syed Sameer Hassan Naqvi (professor in NCA) while the Principal of AHP is Syed Abeer Hassan Naqvi (Professor of Management in PU).
