Akgedik is a village in Tarsus district of Mersin Province, Turkey. It is situated in the Çukurova palins (Cilicia of the antiquity) to the south of Çukurova motorway and Berdan Dam resorvoir at 36°57′N 34°55′E / 36.950°N 34.917°E.The distance to Tarsus is 5 kilometres (3.1 mi). and to Mersin is 30 kilometres (19 mi). The population of Akgedik is 1065 [1] as of 2010. Cotton and grape are the two main crops of the village.
