Ar-Raqqah District (Arabic: منطقة مركز الرقة, translit. manṭiqat ar-Raqqah) is a district of the ar-Raqqah Governorate in northern Syria. Administrative centre is the city of ar-Raqqah. At the 2004 census, the district had a population of 503,960.[1]

Sub-districts
The district of ar-Raqqah is divided into four sub-districts or nawāḥī (population as of 2004[1]):
- Al-Raqqah Nahiyah (ناحية الرقّة): population 338,773.[2]
- Al-Sabkhah Nahiyah (ناحية السبخة): population 18,106[3]
- Al-Karamah Nahiyah (ناحية الكرامة): population 74,429.[4]
- Maadan Nahiyah (ناحية معدان): population 42,652.[5]
