Alexandru Epureanu (born 27 September 1986 in Chișinau) is a Moldovan footballer who currently plays at Istanbul B.B. as a centre back. He is the captain of the Moldova national football team.

Club career

Epureanu joined FC Sheriff Tiraspol in summer 2004.[1]

He won Moldovan Footballer of the Year in 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011. Since playing for FC Sheriff Tiraspol, he has gone on to play for FC Moscow and Dinamo Moscow. Epureanu is considered the most valuable Moldovan football player. [2]

On 2 July 2014, Epureanu signed for İstanbul BB.[3]
