Alfred Moss

Alfred Ethelbert Moss (30 May 1896 23 April 1972) was a British racecar driver. He was born in Kensington, London. In 1924, he placed 14th[1] or 16th (sources differ) at the Indy 500 in a Fronty Ford.

Moss was the son of Sarah Jane and Abraham Moss.[2] His father was Jewish and his mother was Christian.[3] He and his wife, Aileen (Craufurd), were parents to Formula One driver Stirling Moss and rallying champion Pat Moss.[1]

Moss died aged 75 in Stoke Mandeville, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, on the 10th anniversary of his son being seriously being injured in a car racing crash at Goodwood.
