Böhme's mountain gecko, Alsophylax boehmei, is a species of gekkonid lizard endemic to South Asia.

Etymology

Both the specific name, boehmei, and the common name, Böhme's mountain gecko, are in honor of German herpetologist Wolfgang Böhme.[2]


Geographic range

A. boehmei is found in Pakistan (Ladakh Skardu) and India.

Its type locality is Skardu/Karakoram, Ladak, northeast Pakistan.

Taxonomy

Some authorities, most recently Bauer et al. 2013, consider this species to be a synonym of Altiphylax stoliczkai.[3]
