Ama Khel is an administrative unit, known as Union council, of Tank District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
District Tank has 1 Tehsils i.e. Tank. Each tehsil comprises certain numbers of union councils. There are 16 union councils in district Tank.
Prominent people hailing from Amakhel are; 1. Pir Sabir Shah who became MNA of District DIKhan after defeating ex-Chief Minister KPK Sardar Inayat Ullah Gandapur in 1985 elections, and 2. Fateh Ullah Khan Kundi, a civil engineering graduate of UET Peshawar who is columnist at daily The Frontier Post and member of Youth Parliament for the session 2015-16.
