Amarone is a restaurant in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that is awarded one Michelin star in the period 2008–present.[2][3][4][5]
GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 16 out of 20 points.[6]
Head chef of Amarone is Gert Blom.[7] Chef Blom and maître Harry Baas were co-owners of the restaurant from 2006 until Baas left in 2015.[8]
In 2007, the restaurant was the highest new entry in the "Lekker Top-100 2008", at spot 54; at this point, Amarone had only been in business for fifteen months.[9][10] The Michelin star, awarded just 2 weeks later, took them completely by surprise.[11]
