American Housewife is an unaired American television pilot developed for Lifetime and starring Melanie Griffith.[1][2] The series was to center on a mother who converses with her inner voice while dealing with one of her kids leaving for college and the other remaining at home. Lifetime ordered the pilot in October 2011,[1] but passed on picking up the series in April 2012.[3]
