Amlekhganj (also Amlekhgunj) (Nepali:अमलेखगंज) is a town and Village Development Committee in Bara District in the Narayani Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4,006 persons living in 742 individual households.[1] At one time it was famed as the starting point of the Nepal Government Railway (NGR) which connected it with Raxaul in India.
Transport
The town was served by a branch railway from Raxaul, India.[2]
