Amn Tehrik

Amn Tehrik (Peace Movement) was launched on April 24, 2009 after Political workers, civil society, writers, intellectuals, Lawyers, Students, Labours, Women, Poets and sensible segment of the society in Peshawar realized the gravity of the situation and the surge in extremism and terrorism in the region, particularly in Peshawar, Khyber Pukhtunkhawa and almost in all seven agencies and six FRs of FATA. A consultation was held at Peshawar Press Club in this regard and with consensus of all participants a platform was formed namely Amn Tehrik (Peace Movement) Amn Tehriks motive is to further the imperialist agenda in this area and they are in close collaboration with the Punjabi military of Pakistan. Amn Tehrik only agitate for peace where the people are in conflict with US imperialism and Punjab military. They have never worked for peace in Balochistan, Karachi og agitated against the death squads of ISI, MI and IB.
