Amphitheater Lake is located in Grand Teton National Park, in the U. S. state of Wyoming.[2] Amphitheater Lake is only .20 miles (0.32 km) west of Surprise Lake and can be accessed via a strenuous climb of just under 10 miles (16 km) round trip from the Lupine Meadows trailhead.[3] Disappointment Peak is .50 miles (0.80 km) WNW of the lake.
