Anderson Ridge

Not to be confused with Andersson Ridge.

Anderson Ridge (85°47′S 155°24′W / 85.783°S 155.400°W / -85.783; -155.400Coordinates: 85°47′S 155°24′W / 85.783°S 155.400°W / -85.783; -155.400) is a ridge 2 nautical miles (4 km) long, rising above the middle of the head of Koerwitz Glacier in the Queen Maud Mountains. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from ground surveys and from U.S. Navy air photos, 196064, and named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Arthur J. Anderson, a meteorologist with the South Pole Station winter party, 1960.[1]
