Andrea Sisson
Andrea Sisson[1] (born March 3, 1989) is an American artist working primarily in film, imagery, performance, & writing. She is a 2010 U.S. Fulbright Program Design and Art Fellow, named a Filmmaker Magazine "25 New Face of Independent Film" 2013.
Career
Sisson and frequent collaborator Pete Ohs were named on the list of "25 New Faces of Indie Film"[2] by Filmmaker in 2013. Her experimental documentary I Send You This Place,[3] was an official selection of the 2012 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and the 2012 Reykjavík International Film Festival. In addition, Sisson directed for Nowness, a short film which breaks down the complicated choreography of the video for Sia's "Chandelier" into hilarious references that even a non-dancer could understand.[4] Sisson is co-director, producer, & visual artist/designer of the in-progress art-house sci-fi, Everything Beautiful Is Far Away (2017). Her work has been shown at São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound, Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Dallas Contemporary, Cincinnati Contemporary Art Center.
