History

Peter Nash established Anglo-Eastern in 1974, initially as a chartering and ship owning organization - with Anglo-Eastern Management Services being the in-house manager of the ships. The latter was the start of the present Anglo-Eastern Group.

The process of an MBO (Management Buy Out) in 1998 and a subsequent merger with an established UK ship manager, Denholm Ship Management in 2001, were the key factors in establishing the present AE Group as a truly independent, global ship manager.

Currently the Anglo-Eastern Group looks after a varied fleet, crew-based training, technical services and operating on a worldwide basis.[4]

In May 2012, the company entered a partnership agreement with the Teekay group, assisting them with crew management and training.[5]
