Antonio Felici
Antonio Felici (Formia, 26 July 1968) is an Italian journalist and writer.
Career
Since 1994, Felici has been the correspondent in Italy for France Football, a French periodical that awards the Ballon d'Or every year. He reports on all current sports events in Italy for the same publication.
For the monthly publication Il Sole 24 Ore Sport he takes care of enquiries and commentary relating to sports in connection with politics, economy, marketing and sporsorship.
He was the editor of the column Felici e scontenti published by the bi-weekly paper Totoguida Scommesse.
He was the editor of the publication Annuario del Calcio Mondiale one of the most important international yearbook directed by Salvatore Lo Presti. He has taken part in all 19 editions published, starting from the year 1988.
As from 2004 he conducts an intensive activity as TV and Radio opinionist for the telecast programs Cuore di Calcio, Rete Rete, Accademia del Calcio, A Tutto Campo and Viva il Calcio. As well as for the radio broadcasts Radio Radio lo Sport, Accademia del Calcio, A Tutto Campo and several others. At the moment he works for Zona11pm – RAI Sport and Te la dò il Tokyo – Radio Centro Suono Sport.
From 1988 to 1996, in the role of international football expert, he has been diffusely engaged in reports for the magazine Guerin Sportivo. Furthermore, from 1991 to 1995 he has been author of a weekly page on international football championships for the sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport. During different periods of time, he has written articles for several other publications sush as L'Espresso, L'Opinione, Il Tempo, Hurrà Juventus, Il Dilettante, La Regione and La Gazzetta dello Sport. For this last one, in particular, he has written the text for the history of the Italian National Football Team in DVD. He has been sports commentator for several international publications sush as Sport et Vie (Belgium), Football Club (France), La Regione (Switzerland), Moskovskij Komsomolets, Futbol (Russia), Start (Ucraine) and Sportul Romanesc (Romania).
From 1999 to 2001 he has been the ideator and editorial director of one of the first sports portarls in Italy www.sportcalcio.com.
He is a member of the Association of Foreign Press in Italy, of the USSI (Italian Sports Press Union) and of AIPS. He is officially accredited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy of France in Italy.
Publications
He has always been engaged in intensive journalistic as well as editorial activities. He initiated, at the age of 20, with the publication Storia del Calcio Italiano Giornata per Giornata, composed of 6 volumes edited by Paolo Carbone and published by Newton Compton.
Apart from having signed the 19 editions of the Annuario del Calcio Mondiale (SET and Cantelli, 1988–2007), together with Salvatore Lo Presti he has also published Tutti i record del calcio.
He contributed to Calciomondo: l’Almanacco 1992–93 and Mondiali: La Grande enciclopedia della Coppa del Mondo, published by Conti Editore.
In 1995 The European Football Clubs and Players Records 1955–1994 published in London by EFRB.
He is author of La grande Storia della Nazionale published by Gazzetta dello Sport/RAI Trade in 14 DVD.
In the 2010 he published Lo sport e l'Europa. Dal conflitto al dialogo about the conflict between international sports organizations and European Union on sport's specificity.
In the 2011 he published Le pagine nere del calcio italiano. Tutti gli scandali minuto per minuto an enquiry about all scandals of Italian soccer along 85 years.
In the 2012 he published Da porta a porta. Gli ultimi dribbling dei furbetti del calcio with the second part of the enquiry about Italian soccer scandals.
In the 2014 with Stella d'Africa he discovered the incredible story of Luciano Vassallo, star of African soccer in 60th.
