Anupam Mazumdar is a theoretical physicist and reader at Lancaster University, specialising in cosmology and quantum gravity.[1] He is affiliated to the Higgs Centre,[2] Edinburgh University and the Discovery Center, Niels Bohr Institute, Copenhagen.[3]
He has initiated the ideas on multi field theory of inflation, such as assisted inflation,[4] visible sector inflation such as MSSM inflation,[5] and ghost-free and singularity-free construction of infinite higher derivative theories of gravity,[6] which can potentially resolve the Schwarzschild singularity for mini-blackholes and cosmological singularities.
