Army Public College PMA Kakul (or APC) is an English Medium co-education institution lying within the premises of PMA, Abbottabad.[2]

History

The school was established in 1965 as a kindergarten for children of army personnel serving in the Pakistan Military Academy. In order to meet the increasing demand for education on the base, it was upgraded as primary school, and on 14 March 1984 it was formally inaugurated by Begum (Mrs) Zia-ul-Haq, wife of the military commander Shaheed Gen. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq. In 1996, it was upgraded to SSC level School. In 2006 it was recognized by Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad as an Intermediate College.[3] It was Mr. Sajid Mansoor, the Principal of this College (2007-2009) who revolutionized this college academically and administratively.
