Students of Rabbi David are taken by the breadth and depth of his Torah knowledge, as well as his knowledge of the arts and sciences. Giving over twenty shiurim in a typical week, Rabbi David inspires students and laypeople alike with his fiery passion for Torah and his charismatic personality. Probably one of the most honest expositors of Rabbi Soloveitchik's teachings, Rabbi David's shiurim often feature ideas and themes from the teachings of Rabbi Soloveitchik, as well as from his other rebbeim, Rabbi Nisson Alpert, Rabbi Tzvi Dov Kanotopsky and Rabbi Aharon Lichtenstein.
