Bada Malhera is a town and a nagar panchayat in Chhatarpur district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.
Demographics
As of the 2001 India census,[1] Bada Malhera had a population of 15,042. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Bada Malhera has an average literacy rate of 56%, lower than the national average of 59.5%, with 61% of the males and 39% of females literate. Eighteen percent of the population is under 6 years of age.
Bada Malhera is on road NH86 . 54 km in south from Chhatarpur and 94 in south from khajuraho. Bada Malhera also known as BM City, Bada Malhera elected Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharty BJP. In the 2003 Assembly polls, she led the BJP to a three-fourth majority in Madhya Pradesh assembly. She defeated her Congress opponent from the Bada Malhera seat with a 25% margin.

There is no large scale industry in Bada Malhera apart from a few small scale industries available, but these industries are not sufficient for giving enough employment for local people. The economy is mostly dependent on farming. The city however, has a growing private commercial sector, mainly retail businesses. this city is filled with many grain merchants and many are famous for grain merchants business like Deendayal Asati Kurrawale,Bharat Asati Bhangawan wale etc.this city needs helpfrom State Govt for business.
