Bagong Pagsilang (English: New Birth), also known as March of the New Society (Filipino: Martsa ng Bagong Lipunan), was a Filipino patriotic song during the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos. The lyrics were written by Levi Celerio and the music was composed by Felipe Padilla de León in 1973.[1][2][3][4] The anthem is not to be confused with Awit sa Paglikha ng Bagong Lipunan, which is also known as Hymn of the New Society (Filipino: Himno ng Bagong Lipunan) and was based from Awit sa Paglikha ng Bagong Pilipinas.[5]
