Berberis aetnensis is a shrub in the Berberidaceae described as a species in 1826.[2][1] It is native to southern Italy (Campania, Basilicata, Calabria, Sicily, Sardinia) and the former Yugoslavia. The species is named for Mt. Etna in Sicily.[3]
