Besnik Sadikay (Albanian pronunciation: [ˈbɛsnik 'sadikaj]; born August 26, 1984), better known by the stage name Big Body Bes, is an Albanian-American rapper and TV presenter.[1] He is best known for his association with Action Bronson, who describes Bes as his "Albanian cousin".[2][3] He has been featured on Action Bronson's Mr. Wonderful album, as well as other works including EPs and mixtapes.

Early life

Bes was born in New York City to Ethnic Albanian Muslim parents from the south of Albania, spending his early years near Fordham Road, in The Bronx, and later moved to Lindenwood, Queens before settling down in East New York, Brooklyn with his family at the age of 16. He began getting into trouble with law enforcement at the age of 11, and he spent time at Spofford Juvenile Center in 1998 before being moved to Tryon Detention Center. He was released after serving 18 months, and he attended Forest Hills High School in Queens for a short period, where he first met Meyhem Lauren, who turned out to be his parole officer's son. Although he insinuates on a regular basis he has done a lot of "dirt", he has managed to stay out of trouble most of his adult life. He reconnected with Meyhem Lauren a few years later, who introduced Bes to his friend and fellow Albanian-American Action Bronson.

Career

Starting in 2014, Bes has been one of the hosts of a TV show called "Fuck, That's Delicious". Other hosts include Action Bronson, The Alchemist, and Meyhem Lauren.

Starting in 2016, Bes has also been one of the hosts on a TV show called "Traveling The Stars: Action Bronson and Friends watch Ancient Aliens". Other hosts include Action Bronson, Knxwledge, ScHoolboy Q, Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, The Creator, Andy Milonakis, Riff Raff, Dirt Nasty, MC Eiht, The Alchemist, Eric André, Too Short, and Melissa Etheridge. In the first episode of the series, Bes declares he doesn't believe in dinosaurs.
