Bimba Bosé

Bimba Bosé, born as Eleonora Salvatore, (Rome, Italy) on 1 October 1975, is a Spanish model, designer, actress and singer.[1][2] Her artistic name means (the) girl in Italian.

Biography

Daughter of Lucía González Bosé (Madrid, 19 August 1957) and her first husband, Alessandro Salvatore (died October 2008), maternal granddaughter of bullfighter Luis Miguel Gonzalez Lucas "Dominguín" and actress Lucia Bosé, since childhood she has been in contact with all type of artistic inclinations that have created her personality.

She has six brothers and sisters: on her father's side there is Olfo Bosé, Alessandro, Francesca and Alfonso Salvatore and on her mother's side there is Jara and Lucia Tristancho. She is singer Miguel Bosé's niece.

She was married, from 3 June 2006 until the beginning of 2013, with the producer and musician Diego Postigo with whom she had two daughters: Dora Postigo Salvatore (Madrid, 04/2004) and June Postigo Salvatore (Madrid, 19 June 2011).

In 2014 Bimba Bosé had an operation for breast cancer.[3] In June 2016 she told "Lecturas", the magazine, that it has "metastasized in her bones, liver and brain" and she is continuing treatment.[4]

Professional Career Path

Model

She has worked with photographers of international prestige like Steven Meisel and Mario Testinocy,<meta /> her image has been on covers of magazines like Vogue and Harper's Bazaar in addition to runway modeling in London, Paris, New York City and Milan.[5]

Bimba's appearance as a model has always been very androgynous, although she worked from a very young age in fashion all over Europe, her greatest success and maturity arrived when she became David Dolphin's muse.[6][7]

Singer

She worked in her own recording studio and was part of the The Cabriolets group.[1] She debuted with the group on 7 May 2007, singing in English and Spanish. She highlighted her version of Como yo te amo by Rocío Jurado mixed with the musical base of the original theme of Twin Peaks.[8][9] Her first CD, called Demo, was recorded in New York City, ordered by producer Andrés Levín, and musicians like Marc Ribot and John Medeski collaborated on it.

In 2007 she made a duet with her uncle, Miguel Bosé, titled Como un lobo on the successful album Papito, that was launched simply with a music video and the performance of the couple in the 2007 Grammy Latin.[10][11]
