Bob Adams (politician)
Bob Adams is a Republican from Jefferson County, West Virginia, who lost a tightly contested race for the West Virginia State Senate, by 200 votes out of nearly 54,000 cast, in the 16th Senatorial district in 2008. Adams moved to West Virginia with his wife, Allison in 2003. The couple has four young children. Adams is a veteran of the United States Navy and holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from Towson University. He is the owner of Great Inflates Party Rentals.
During the 104th Congress he worked as a Press Assistant to Congressman J.C. Watts, Jr. Adams served as Communications Director and a Senior Aide to Republican Presidential Candidate Patrick J. Buchanan in 2000. Adams resigned his position when Buchanan left the GOP for the Reform Party. Subsequently, Adams appeared on numerous national television programs as a Republican spokesperson – including Hardball with Chris Mathews and FOX Hannity & Colmes – encouraging Republicans to stay within the party and to reject Buchanan's third party bid.
Later in the 2000 Republican Primaries, Adams worked for the Republican Party of Delaware. A week after Sen. John McCain's victory in New Hampshire, Delaware was a "make or break" contest for both the Forbes and Bush Campaigns. In the closing days of the 2000 Presidential Election, Adams worked for the Republican National Committee as a member of the Communications Team under Chairman Jim Nicholson.
Throughout the Bush Presidency, Adams served as a strategist and in senior communication roles with the conservative advocacy group, the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), and later with the Alliance for Marriage Foundation.
In 2009, he and Dick Morris co-founded the League of American Voters PAC.
In 2012, he founded the Revive America PAC.[1]
As of 2014, he was listed as a member of the Council for National Policy in their directory.[2]
He and his wife Allison, the niece of former U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland Faith Ryan Whittlesey, have four children.
