Bob Picozzi
Bob Picozzi (born June 4, 1951) is a television and radio announcer who is employed by ESPN as their play-by-play announcer for college football and basketball.[1]
Biography
Picozzi was born in Summit, New Jersey and graduated from Seton Hall.
Picozzi began calling college football and basketball for the ESPN Networks in 1998.[2] As of 2012, he is also an anchor for ESPN Radio SportsCenter.[3] For thirteen years, starting in 1999, Bob called women's basketball for the Connecticut Huskies and he called Colonial Athletic Association football for Comcast SportsNet.[4] He began working at WTNH-TV in 1978 for 19 years as their sports director and is a graduate of Seton Hall University. He is a four time Connecticut Sportscaster of the Year and received one New England Regional Emmy Award.
On September 15, 2016, Picozzi announced that he was leaving ESPN Radio after hosting 62,411 Sportscenter updates.[5]
