Borgarsyssel Museum
Borgarsyssel Museum is a museum in Sarpsborg, Norway. It was built in 1924 and is situated at the ruins of the Medieval St. Nikolas Church from 1115.[1]
It was founded in 1921,[2] and named after Borgarsysla, the Old Norse name of Østfold county.[3] Since 1947 it has been the main county museum of Østfold.[2] Since 1 January 2006 it has been a part of Østfoldmuseet, which organizes all museums in the county.[4]
