Borghetto di Vara is a comune (municipality) in the Province of La Spezia in the Italian region Liguria, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) southeast of Genoa and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) northwest of La Spezia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 998 and an area of 27.3 square kilometres (10.5 sq mi).[1]
