Brian Kingston (born 1965 or 1966)[1] is a Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) politician from Belfast. He is the current Lord Mayor of the city.
He was educated at Methodist College, Belfast, the University of Manchester and Queen's University Belfast. He studied physics.[2]
Kingston was elected to Belfast City Council in the Court area at the Northern Ireland local elections, 2011,[3] and held the seat in 2014.
He stood for the DUP in Belfast West at the 2011 Northern Ireland Assembly election, where he was last candidate to be eliminated.[4] He stood for the equivalent Westminster seat in the Belfast West by-election, 2011;[5] he took third place, with 6.1% of the votes cast.
In 2016, Kingston was chosen as Lord Mayor of Belfast.[2]
