Bucculatrix variabilis is a moth in the Bucculatricidae family. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from California.

The wingspan is 7–8 mm. The forewings are clothed with fuscous-tipped scales, with whitish bases. The hindwings are pale grey. Adults have been recorded on wing from February to May.

The larvae feed on Baccharis pilularis.[2]
