Buddleja 'Blue Gown' is a hybrid cultivar raised at Sir John Quicke's[1] garden at Newton St Cyres, in Devon, England. The ancestry of 'Blue Gown' is unknown, but it has been speculated the plant is the result of a crossing of B. crispa and B. davidii [2]

Description

Flowering in mid to late spring, 'Blue Gown' grows to a height of 3.0 m, with a spread of much the same dimension. The foliage is similar to B. crispa, the flowers blue. [2]

Cultivation

'Blue Gown' is rare in cultivation, and not known beyond the UK. Hardiness: USDA zones 69. [2]
