Buddleja davidii 'Pink Pearl' is an old European cultivar.[1] 'Pink Pearl' is considered aesthetically inferior to other, more recent, pink varieties, and was unplaced in the public popularity poll held as part of the Buddleja trials organized by the Royal Horticultural Society at Wisley.[2]

Description

'Pink Pearl' grows to 3 m in height and greater width, with arching branches typical of the species bearing dense terminal panicles of flowers with a more lilac hue and distinct yellow eye; the long leaves are silvery-green.[3] [4]

Cultivation

'Pink Pearl' is cultivated in the UK and USA. A specimen is grown as part of the NCCPG national Buddleja collection held by the Longstock Park Nursery near Stockbridge. [4] Hardiness: USDA zones 6–9. [1]
