Burnakovskaya (Russian: Бурнаковская) is a station on the Sormovskaya Line of the Nizhny Novgorod Metro, in the Moskovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod, opened in 1993.
Background
Burnakovskaya was opened on 20 December 1993 as a terminal station on the Sormovskaya Line. On 9 September 2002, it was no longer a terminal station because the line extension to Burevestnik was opened.[1][2] Its name comes from the crossing of Burnakovsogo and Kuibysheva Street with Sormovskim Highway. It has octagonal columns lined with white marble, and walls painted red, the bottom being lined with curved red roof tiles. The floor is paved with dark granite, crossed with strips of white marble.[3]
