CJXB-FM
CJXB-FM was a radio station which aired an adult album alternative format on the frequency of 107.9 MHz/FM in Banff, Alberta, Canada. The station broadcast with an ERP of 180 watts and a maximum ERP of 500 watts, with an effective HAAT of -326.4 metres.
The station was owned by The Banff Centre, who included the station as part of the deal to acquire tourist information stations CFPE-FM and CFPF-FM from the Friends of Banff. The application for CJXB-FM received approval from the CRTC on August 6, 2013.[1]
The station launched on June 23, 2014.[2] After less than a year in operation, however, the Banff Centre decided to discontinue the station in favour of a podcasting strategy.[3]
