State Route 207 (SR 207) is a state highway in the U.S. state of California in Alpine County. It connects State Route 4 to Mount Reba.
Route description
The route begins at State Route 4 as a two-lane road, and heads north to its northern terminus at Mount Reba, where it expands to make way for the Bear Valley parking lot. Because SR 207 is the only way to access the Bear Valley Ski Resort, the state highway has more traffic during winter than when it isn't snowing in the mountains. The route totals about a mile. After the intersection with State Route 207, State Route 4 quickly becomes a one-lane highway.
Major intersections
Except where prefixed with a letter, postmiles were measured on the road as it was when the route was established, based on the alignment that existed at the time, and do not necessarily reflect current mileage. R reflects a realignment in the route since then, M indicates a second realignment, L refers an overlap due to a correction or change, and T indicates postmiles classified as temporary (for a full list of prefixes, see the list of postmile definitions).[1] Segments that remain unconstructed or have been relinquished to local control may be omitted. The entire route is in Alpine County.
