Myraida Desireé Carmona (born August 27, 1984), better known by her stage name Calma Carmona, is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter. Her music has been denominated as Soul & Latin Soul . Calma has a display of influences ranging from Sade Adu, Santana, PJ Harvey, La Lupe and Tina Turner. She sings in both Spanish and English with the same easiness. She is recognizable for her seductive and compelling voice, as well as her undeniable powerful stage presence. She has often been compared to singers Jill Scott and Erykah Badu.[1] She released her debut EP, "There's No Other Girl", in September 2013 on mun2.[2]

In August 2013, Calma Carmona was voted MTV Iggy Artist of the week.[3]

Calma recently opened for Beyoncé acclaimed The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in Puerto Rico.[4]
