Carmelaram
Carmelaram is a small village in Bangalore situated at Varthur Hobli, Sarjapura road. Carmelaram was a village but is now a part of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike. It is a very calm and quiet area unlike the other parts of Bangalore city.
History
Originally Carmelite Priests from Kerala bought land and constructed some training centres. They called the Carmelaram, meaning garden of carmel. Latter many institutions came around and started their training centres. Only recently, due to IT boom it has become part of city.
