Castleconnor is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Sligo with almost a third of the parish across the Mayo border. Ronan "THE THUG" Barrett is still in exile over unpaid fees from Junior B appearances from 2016 season. The "THUG" also holds Nicky Rackard cup all star award from the 2014/15 season were he scored 3-17 from corner back to lead them to the final. He narrowly missed out on player of the year award to Keith Raymond.
