The Cavanagh Bus Group is an Australian operator of bus companies on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales and in South East Queensland.

Cavanagh's Bus Service

In March 1952, Clyde and Clare Cavanagh entered a partnership with Wilfred Ryan to purchase three buses from King's Bus Co with services in Kempsey. The Cavanaghs later bought Ryan out and in 1965 purchased a further oute from King's. In 1967, Cavanagh's Bus Service commenced operating camping tours throughout Australia.[1][2]

In 1991, McKay's Bus Service was purchased followed by Mercury Roadlines in 1996.[3][4] In 2002, a subsidiary was established in Port Macquarie under the Portbus brand. From January 2003 until December 2007, Cavanagh's operated services from Newcastle to Taree and Port Macquarie to Wauchope under contract to CountryLink.[1] As at November 2014, the fleet consisted of 42 vehicles.[2]

Depots are operated in Kempsey, Port Macquarie, South West Rocks and Stuarts Point.[2]

Cavbus

In April 1995, Colin Crossley and former Highway Tours proprietor Jim Hill, purchased Logan Coaches from Albert Wharton and began to replace relatively new Hinos with elderly Bedfords and Leyland Leopards.[5]

In 2001, Cavbus[6] was formed when Cavanagh's purchased the Beaudesert Bus Service and Logan Coaches businesses from Crossley and Hill. As at November 2014, the fleet consisted of 77 vehicles.[7]

Depots are operated in Beaudesert, Ipswich and Logan Village.[7]

Glasshouse Country Coaches

In 1998, Glasshouse Country Coaches, Beerwah was purchased by Jim Hill. In June 2007, the business was purchased by the Cavanagh's.[8] As at November 2014, the fleet consisted of 20 vehicles.[9]
