Charles Grignion the Younger
Charles Grignion the Younger (1754–1804) was a British history and portrait painter and engraver.
Biography
Grignion was born in London. His father was the engraver Charles Grignion the Elder. He studied in France at Hubert-François Gravelot's school in Covent Garden. He also engraved the earliest record of a cricket match, published in the General Advertiser in 1748. He died in Livorno after a short illness and was buried there in the Old English Cemetery [1]
